  "I have been married to my second husband since 1978. I have one grown son and two grandchildren. I began my career as a medical transcriptionist for a local hospital thirty years ago. The last five of those years I have been fortunate enough to work from my home. My husband and I plan to retire together soon.

  There was nothing particularly dramatic or unusual about my life until my son, diagnosed with severe depression, placed a shotgun to his head and blasted away the beautiful face that God gave him. I hope that my family’s story will give hope to those who believe they have none."
