Warren Thurston
Warren Thurston was born in Melbourne Australia sixty one years ago, and “Tassie and Eddy and the Great Jewel Caper” is his second children’s novel to be published. A public servant working for the Defense department, he intends to devote more time to writing once he retires. Warren has several more children’s novels and short plays in the melting pot.
He began writing children’s stories when his two girls were young. They kept complaining that the stories he invented for them were different each time he told them. So he wrote them down and produced little paper books for them. The reaction from the other kids at their school was good, so he decided to try his hand at getting them published. This was twenty eight years ago but to his mind it seems like yesterday.
His interests include writing, reading, reviewing books, and bush walking. Writing makes him feel alive and gives him hope for the future. He believes that the written word is the best way to stimulate the imagination to keep one active.
